After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Raí de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. invictus's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rúben Trigueiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as invictus's Iuri Sarmento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rúben Trigueiro. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Sérgio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Prata in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Raí de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Mangueira's late challenge caught a Jequi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. Luciano Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Sérgio Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Prata in the 17th minute of the match. Sérgio Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Jequi getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vicente Marques hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Gigi Covaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sérgio Cearense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raí de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Rúben Trigueiro made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Vicente Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jequi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave invictus the free kick. After having played for 40 minutes, Raí de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. invictus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raí de Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raí de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rúben Trigueiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raí de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigi Covaci was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Gigi Covaci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jequi's supporters rose to their feet, but Gigi Covaci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Raí de Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, invictus's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Covaci came free, but Sérgio Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Covaci in the 80th minute of play forced invictus's goalkeeper Sérgio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Jequi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. Raí de Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rúben Trigueiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raí de Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. Rúben Trigueiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Jequi's Vicente Marques got a free kick in the 85th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Sérgio Cearense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jequi! Serafim Mattos shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Gigi Covaci hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. invictus were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
