Christiano Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Christiano Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Marc Pettersson made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Nunes. Varjoia SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Christiano Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Pettersson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Varjoia SC's Christiano Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Pettersson in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Toca Popeye getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Laerte Tasso hit a great ball. The Varjoia SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Toca Popeye were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marc Pettersson to strike the kick off in the second half. Christiano Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Berger in the 51st minute of play. Oswaldo Paranaense hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The throw-in from José Paulo Mangueira in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Toca Popeye's Décio Paulista. Josué Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Botelho in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Cauã Berger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varjoia SC's Christiano Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walmir Barral might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josué Valadares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmir Barral ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristóvão Ribeiro in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiano Nunes saved Varjoia SC from getting behind. Adhemar França hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Luizinho Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Nunes came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Toca Popeye's Marc Pettersson. But to his dismay, Marc Pettersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 92 minutes into the game, Walmir Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varjoia SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toca Popeye the free kick. After a rather tough play, Varjoia SC's Walmir Barral got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Botelho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varjoia SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toca Popeye the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Varjoia SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiano Nunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Toca Popeye could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Varjoia SC throughout the match.
