A wasted opportunity for Clube de Regatas Flalengo. After 7 minutes, Elivélton Couto made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elivélton Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Olívio Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nilson Massa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Bacanas FC's protests and gave Nilson Massa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Los Bacanas FC's Nilson Massa got a free kick in the 16th minute. Elivélton Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Flalengo's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Correia came free, but Gonçalo Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Los Bacanas FC booed when Clube de Regatas Flalengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Matos made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Nilson Massa sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elivélton Correia got free with Gonçalo Matos in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Tostão Salles made a precise shot to the right of Gonçalo Matos. Clube de Regatas Flalengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 43 minutes into the game, Elivélton Correia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gonçalo Matos. Elivélton Correia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elivélton Couto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tostão Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Elivélton Couto put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Olívio Arruda. Olívio Arruda came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube de Regatas Flalengo's Elivélton Couto. But to his dismay, Elivélton Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Reginaldo Esteves hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Flalengo's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Salles came free, but Gonçalo Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Gomess short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Olívio Arruda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute, Elivélton Correia made a precise shot to the right of Gonçalo Matos. Clube de Regatas Flalengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Los Bacanas FC's Olívio Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Los Bacanas FC from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Los Bacanas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Gonçalo Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Salles in the 94th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Elivélton Couto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Clube de Regatas Flalengo were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
