After a rather tough play, Barao Owl F. C's Danilo Albuquerque got a free kick in the 6th minute. Naldo Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Pedro Luís de Lima made a huge save. Pedro Luís de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Machado in the 8th minute of play. Luís Fábio Andrade's late challenge caught a Barao Owl F. C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fábio Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, 100 Chance's Luís Fábio Andrade got a free kick in the 9th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Oscar Tande put in a rough tackle. A collision led to 100 Chance getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Oscar Tande hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Godoi in the 12th minute of play forced 100 Chance's goalkeeper Leopoldo Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes 100 Chance got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fábio Machado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Marquez in the 19th minute of play forced Barao Owl F. C's goalkeeper Pedro Luís de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Naldo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barao Owl F. C booed when 100 Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gilberto Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barao Owl F. C's protests and gave Gilberto Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. Sidney Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Pedro Luís de Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fábio Machado in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Naldo Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 100 Chance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 minutes, Diguinho Valadares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barao Owl F. C and the 100 Chance players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Luís de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

53 minutes into the match, Luís Fábio Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luís de Lima. Barao Owl F. C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fábio Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 56th minute Dráuzio Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Paraíba in the 58th minute of play. After 67 played minutes, Barao Owl F. C's Nildo Tróia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopoldo Cerezo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barao Owl F. C reached it. Filipe Meneses hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute Naldo Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Nogueira in the 74th minute of play forced Barao Owl F. C's goalkeeper Pedro Luís de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
