Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Paulo Catarinense started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Oscar Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oscar Castro hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Gilberto Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lauro Matos having to make a save. After some careless play in the S.E. Palmeiras defense, Gilberto Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lauro Matos. The S.E. Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lauro Matos should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Cristiano Senna notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Barao Owl F. C's Pedro Luís de Lima. Pedro Luís de Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Barao Owl F. C's Diguinho Valadares got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of S.E. Palmeiras booed when Barao Owl F. C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Senna took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luís de Lima. Pedro Luís de Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Luís Fábio de Moraes had several of the S.E. Palmeiras's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Lauro Matos as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Braga during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zé Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Lauro Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Fonseca made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Fonseca in the 52nd minute of play forced S.E. Palmeiras's goalkeeper Lauro Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauro Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Barao Owl F. C's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Castro came free, but Pedro Luís de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Senna hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Zé da Mata hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes, Barao Owl F. C's Danilo Albuquerque shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lauro Matos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barao Owl F. C reached it. Danilo Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Barao Owl F. C's goalkeeper Pedro Luís de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Senna. 81 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Guimarães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luís de Lima. Marquinhos Guimarães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 86th match minute, Barao Owl F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Valadares to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the game, Cristiano Senna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luís de Lima. Cristiano Senna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Pedro Paulo Catarinense took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Pedro Luís de Lima to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched S.E. Palmeiras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
