The supporters of Regina Apostolorum booed when C.A.Guimarães was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Efraim Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A.Guimarães's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efraim Morais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Regina Apostolorum got a freekick which was hit by Matías Vidal. 14 minutes into the game Marcus Paes kicked a great long shot which passed Ruy de Carvalho straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Marcus Paes behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Dmitriy Didorenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Regina Apostolorum's goalkeeper Ruy de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efraim Morais. Efraim Morais scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruy de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Efraim Morais put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ruy de Carvalho. If Efraim Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Regina Apostolorum's goal looked a bit too open when Chadli Boudjedra came free, but Ruy de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute C.A.Guimarães were awarded a corner. Marcus Paes went to the cornerflag to take it. Maurício Salles tried in the game's 33rd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Ruy de Carvalho. An annoying self made goal, 4-0. In the 37th minute, Antony Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruy de Carvalho was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Chadli Boudjedra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chadli Boudjedra really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Vítor do Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Efraim Morais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Guimarães fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Efraim Morais might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efraim Morais ran back to his position shaking his head. C.A.Guimarães's Dmitriy Didorenko got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Paes might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Paes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Efraim Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Regina Apostolorum getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Claudinho Tande hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, C.A.Guimarães was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dmitriy Didorenko to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Efraim Morais ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruy de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. 77 minutes into the game, Efraim Morais cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Ruy de Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jano Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Efraim Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the game, Chadli Boudjedra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.Guimarães's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Regina Apostolorum the free kick. C.A.Guimarães's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
