The tension between the FC Red Ale Perdizes and the Palestra Itália FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amílton Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The long shot by Ramón Vergílio in the 5th minute really tested Frédson Nunes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Palestra Itália FC's Joel Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Baiano in the 8th minute of play. Rafa Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Joel Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Freire in the 13th minute of play forced Palestra Itália FC's goalkeeper Joel Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, one of Palestra Itália FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palestra Itália FC. The referee gave FC Red Ale Perdizes a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Augusto Almeida, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palestra Itália FC's Joel Godoi. 0-1. Murillo Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murillo Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafa Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palestra Itália FC's Joel Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Freire in the 29th minute of play. When Narciso Freire came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FC Red Ale Perdizes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Freire couldn't finish the play. Rafa Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Godoi having to interfere. Narciso Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Joel Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Rafa Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Palestra Itália FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Vergílio. Narciso Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rafa Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Murillo Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. Rafa Arósio might have been able to make a better finish in the 50th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafa Arósio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rdth minute of the game Rafa Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra Itália FC's Joel Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Murillo Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra Itália FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Murillo Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Red Ale Perdizes's Augusto Almeida got a free kick in the 57th minute. Murillo Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Nunes having to interfere. When Rafa Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC Red Ale Perdizes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Arósio couldn't finish the play. If Rafa Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafa Arósio in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Godoi saved Palestra Itália FC from getting behind. In the 73rd minute Rafa Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fábio Neiva's shot from long distance in the 77th minute was not bad at all, but Palestra Itália FC's Joel Godoi knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Murillo Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédson Nunes having to interfere. In the 80thth minute of the game Rafa Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra Itália FC's Joel Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafa Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Joel Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Freire in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joel Godoi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 84th match minute, Palestra Itália FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. If Narciso Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Rafa Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Red Ale Perdizes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafa Arósio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narciso Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Palestra Itália FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Red Ale Perdizes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
