Léo Tinoco came out of the goal and Henry Hammen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fellipe Sá's late challenge caught a Sambô Laion FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fellipe Sá helped the player get up and apologised. Fellipe Sá hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eugênio Sergipano to strike the kick off in the second half. Magno Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Tinoco having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Sambô Laion FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Twan Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match Alan Saldanha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cauã Fernandez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magno Figueiredo got free with Léo Tinoco in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sambô Laion FC's Magno Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalberto Cavalcante during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Léo Tinoco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Eugênio Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sambô Laion FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugênio Sergipano couldn't finish the play. Ronaldo Corrêa charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Corrêa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sambô Laion FC booed when Bonita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Alan Saldanha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bonita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sambô Laion FC the free kick. The supporters of Sambô Laion FC booed when Bonita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugênio Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Léo Tinoco made a huge save. A collision led to Bonita getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cezary Walaszkiewicz hit a great ball. Eugênio Sergipano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Léo Tinoco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. During the 82nd minute of the match Alan Saldanha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alan Saldanha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Wellington Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léo Tinoco having to interfere. Twan Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Eugênio Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Léo Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
