Zeca Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Ke Zhi in the 3rd minute. A throw-in in the 5th minute of the game was made by Arrigo Bucciarelli with Cecilio Perpinya as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Cecilio Perpinya charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Perpinya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lencois getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cecilio Perpinya hit a great ball. Marcelinho Meirelles hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Shi Ke Zhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Shi Ke Zhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Zeca Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valqueire Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Zeca Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Leite in the 15th minute of play forced Lencois's goalkeeper William Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lencois's Shi Ke Zhi, in the 18th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lencois. 27 minutes into the match, Juarês Coelho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lencois's William Cardoso. William Cardoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute Adilson Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Dráusio Rosado threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lencois's Marcelinho Meirelles quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Marcelinho Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeca Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelinho Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Valqueire Futebol Clube's zone, Shi Ke Zhi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Senna came out of the goal and Shi Ke Zhi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Leal during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Valqueire Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Diego Leal. Shi Ke Zhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Senna having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adilson Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zeca Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shi Ke Zhi went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Shi Ke Zhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Marcelinho Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Lencois fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Meirelles couldn't finish the play. If Marcelinho Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Branco in the 65th minute of play forced Valqueire Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Zeca Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lencois's Marcelinho Meirelles managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dráusio Rosado in the 66 minute of the game. If Marcelinho Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Shi Ke Zhi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lencois's supporters rose to their feet, but Shi Ke Zhi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arrigo Bucciarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Marcelinho Meirelles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeca Senna having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Ke Zhi in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelinho Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Zeca Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Valqueire Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ke Zhi came free, but Zeca Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Valqueire Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Diego Leal hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes Lencois got a freekick which was hit by Egídio da Cunha. Adilson Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Lencois players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
