In the 5thth minute of the game Zé Augusto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galaticos's Francisco Pirani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Galaticos defense, Zé Augusto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Pirani. The Galaticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Pirani should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Andrézinho Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abilio Matos scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francisco Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Galaticos got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Linares. 34 minutes into the game, Prodigy Team's Zé Augusto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Pirani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Pirani. Galaticos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Augusto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After some careless play in the Galaticos defense, Andrézinho Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Pirani. The Galaticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Pirani should have stopped the shot. Zé Augusto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Pirani having to make a save.

The wind increased when Carlos Fernando Martins made the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Túlio Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 minutes, Agnaldo Soares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galaticos and the Prodigy Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Pirani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 66th match minute, Prodigy Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abilio Matos to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Linares in the 70th minute of play. In the 78th minute Andrézinho Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Prodigy Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Galaticos throughout the match.
