Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julio Soin kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Cabo Branco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Meira came free, but Fernando Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Araçoiaba FC's Michel Preudhomme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Veloso in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Rony Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Agnaldo Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araçoiaba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnaldo Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Meira in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Bastos saved Cabo Branco FC from getting behind. Rony Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agnaldo Teixeira hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Cícero Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cabo Branco FC's zone, Rony Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Bastos came out of the goal and Rony Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Meira in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Bastos saved Cabo Branco FC from getting behind. Rony Meira had several of the Cabo Branco FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Fernando Bastos as he didn't even see the shot coming. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rony Meira made a kick off. Julio Soin in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michel Preudhomme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fernando Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Meira in the 64th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Rony Meira put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Bastos. When Araçoiaba FC's Rony Meira in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 88th minute, Ian Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Agnaldo Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Preudhomme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Preudhomme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Veloso in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th match minute, Cabo Branco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Passos to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araçoiaba FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cabo Branco FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
