Geovani do Nascimento showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Cumbe EC's goalkeeper Tony de Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovani do Nascimento. Geovani do Nascimentos short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Tony de Alcântara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Cumbe EC's Tony de Alcântara got control of the ball when Joel Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes, Geovani do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lunáticos FC and the Cumbe EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lunáticos FC's Geovani do Nascimento got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tony de Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Paraíba in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Zézinho Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Cumbe EC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani do Nascimento came free, but Tony de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fábio Neves's late challenge caught a Lunáticos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fábio Neves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Cumbe EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Neves to maneuver through the defense. Geovani do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Walmir Britto's late challenge caught a Cumbe EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walmir Britto helped the player get up and apologised. Walmir Britto hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gláuber Lucas hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Gláuber Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Lunáticos FC's Geovani do Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tony de Alcântara. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. 36 minutes into the match, Geovani do Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony de Alcântara. Cumbe EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovani do Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Benjamim Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony de Alcântara having to interfere. The supporters of Lunáticos FC booed when Cumbe EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fábio Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovani do Nascimento got free with Tony de Alcântara in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Gaúcho in the 48th minute of play forced Cumbe EC's goalkeeper Tony de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Falcão da Rocha to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Joel Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cumbe EC's Tony de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tony de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani do Nascimento in the 57th minute of play forced Cumbe EC's goalkeeper Tony de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Britto took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony de Alcântara. Tony de Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Tony de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natanael Maciel in the 61st minute of the match. Tony de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Lago in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Joel Paraíba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunáticos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 71st minute, Geovani do Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Tony de Alcântara. Cumbe EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Bezerra during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tony de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Lunáticos FC's Walmir Britto. But to his dismay, Walmir Britto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Tony de Alcântara didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Lunáticos FC's Geovani do Nascimento shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 85th minute Walmir Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Lunáticos FC's Geovani do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Geovani do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Tony de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Lunáticos FC's Geovani do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Geovani do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. Lunáticos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
