An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Trevisan in the 19th minute of play forced ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋'s goalkeeper Fabiano de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Loureiro in the 21st minute of play. Wágner Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano de Alcântara having to interfere. Ernani das Neves took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano de Alcântara. Fabiano de Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Anjinho AD booed when ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernani das Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Isaltino Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo de Souza. Anjinho AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋'s Isaltino Gaúcho got a free kick in the 64th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani das Neves in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano de Alcântara saved ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋ from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Correia to maneuver through the defense. Wágner Trevisan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Fabiano de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ernani das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anjinho AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiano de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Anjinho AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋.
