A collision led to Verdão da Mogiana getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Nelsinho Fernandes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Ackerman in the 10th minute of play forced Ipuarana SS's goalkeeper Laércio de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alberto Ackerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laércio de Souza was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Laércio de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Nastasio in the 17th minute of play. The Ipuarana SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laércio de Souza should have stopped the shot. Alberto Ackerman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Friedenreich in the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Alberto Ackerman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdão da Mogiana's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Ackerman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laércio de Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Léo Peixoto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fellipe Messias. Verdão da Mogiana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kennet Mogren to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ipuarana SS's zone, Arthur Friedenreich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laércio de Souza came out of the goal and Arthur Friedenreich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Ackerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Silvio Nastasio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laércio de Souza, 0-2. Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Silvio Nastasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Verdão da Mogiana booed when Ipuarana SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Alberto Ackerman put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Laércio de Souza. Verdão da Mogiana's Fellipe Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Mesquita in the 75th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Ackerman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Laércio de Souza. That made the score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play. Silvio Nastasio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio de Souza having to interfere. Alberto Ackerman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Laércio de Souza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 93 minutes into the game, Vânderson da Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipuarana SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verdão da Mogiana the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Vânderson da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th match minute, Verdão da Mogiana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Nastasio to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute Aníbal Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fellipe Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
