Gilvan Souto hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Wesley Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Mentis in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Monteiro saved FUSÂO NORTE FC from getting behind. In the 21st match minute, FUSÂO NORTE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Jean Gonçalves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Severino Monteiro. FUSÂO NORTE FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustavo Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Sebastião Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FUSÂO NORTE FC's protests and gave Sebastião Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes FUSÂO NORTE FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Paiva. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Romário Tande put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Severino Monteiro. Romário Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Severino Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertinho Neto during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 played minutes Arrocha F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Gaúcho. Severino Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Tande in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, FUSÂO NORTE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Tande came free, but Severino Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Ernani Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wesley Gaúcho scored 0-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Monteiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Severino Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wesley Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Severino Monteiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Arrocha F.C.'s Romário Tande shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Gaúcho in the 70th minute of play forced FUSÂO NORTE FC's goalkeeper Severino Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FUSÂO NORTE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilvan Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 96 minutes, Ernani Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FUSÂO NORTE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Arrocha F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
