Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Curucamba's Guto Brandao started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gurjao's Antônio Carlos Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 5 minutes into the game, Curucamba's Ricardo Leite nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 8 minutes, Antônio Carlos Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gurjao and the Curucamba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Guto Brandao rounded Gurjao's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Leandro Mota struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Márcio Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gurjao. Deivid Freitas came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and David Pitta could save by the left post. David Pitta was a little too slow when Guto Brandao got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guto Brandao got free with David Pitta in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 29 minutes into the match, Gurjao's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Leite came free, but David Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Pitta acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ernesto Sabóia. In the 32nd minute, Curucamba's Arlindo Luz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. David Pitta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guto Brandao in the 36th minute. Antônio Carlos Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gurjao's Antônio Carlos Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gurjao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Arlindo Luz scored to the left of an out of position David Pitta, making the score, 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leandro Mota was the one to do the kick off. When Arlindo Luz fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curucamba's protests and gave Arlindo Luz a yellow card for diving instead. Arlindo Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Gurjao's David Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Brandao in the 60th minute of play. David Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Freitas in the 61st minute of the match. If Antônio Carlos Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Curucamba's Deivid Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Guto Brandao took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Pitta. David Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After 75 minutes, Guto Paulista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gurjao and the Curucamba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gurjao's Guto Paulista got a free kick in the 75th minute. Valério Lopez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Pitta. Gurjao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Curucamba's Décio do Vale made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Pitta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Gurjao defense, Deivid Freitas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Pitta. The Gurjao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Pitta should have stopped the shot. After 91 played minutes Gurjao got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Mota. 94 minutes into the match, Gurjao's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Freitas came free, but David Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márcio Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Mota in the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Curucamba had played much better football throughout.
