José Paulo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Cordeiro having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Goiatuba E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Machado came free, but Marcel Kühlert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Limão Com Mel's goal looked a bit too open when José Augusto de Brito came free, but Erik Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Fernando Borges hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Erik Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Dracena in the 24th minute of play. José Augusto de Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After 27 minutes Limão Com Mel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramon Lugo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ramon Lugo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erik Cordeiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Michel de Sena's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcel Kühlert firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Machado in the 34th minute of play forced Goiatuba E.C.'s goalkeeper Marcel Kühlert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, José Paulo Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Marcel Kühlert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute José Paulo Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Limão Com Mel's Erik Cordeiro got control of the ball when José Augusto de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Paulo Dracena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Cordeiro having to make a save. In the 65th minute, Marco Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Ramon Lugo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erik Cordeiro skillfully saved the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Goiatuba E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Machado came free, but Marcel Kühlert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goiatuba E.C.'s Marcel Kühlert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Machado in the 70th minute of play. Marcel Kühlert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Machado in the 79th minute of play. José Paulo Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Limão Com Mel's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
