Marcelinho Paulista didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Benjamim's Róbson Gaspar shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 42 minutes into the match, Thor F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when David Britto came free, but Marcelinho Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Augusto Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Róbson Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. Benjamim's David Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélio Medeiros took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelinho Paulista. Marcelinho Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Gaspar in the 64th minute of play forced Thor F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcelinho Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Linhares in the 68th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, David Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benjamim's supporters rose to their feet, but David Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Paulista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelinho Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Medeiros in the 72nd minute of the match.
