C.'s Joel Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Basílio Lira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of MARINOS F. C.'s Clóvis Mota. Clóvis Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Basílio Lira put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Clóvis Mota. In the 17th minute Basílio Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matheus Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Wilson Gonçalves made a huge save. After 33 played minutes MARINOS F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Motta. Clóvis Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Basílio Lira sped through MARINOS F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clóvis Mota. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio Massa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Berger in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Basílio Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emerson Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Diamantino Branco fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juvenil Sport Club's protests and gave Diamantino Branco a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Teixeira hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Wilson Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertinho Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Guilherme Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, MARINOS F. C.'s Moisés Leme got a free kick in the 84th minute. Laércio Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Gonçalves having to interfere.
