An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber do Vale in the 4th minute of play forced E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's goalkeeper Dário Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto Figueiredo came free, but Dário Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Paulista in the 7th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Beto Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thunderstruck FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of E.C Foz Do Iguaçu booed when Thunderstruck FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Thunderstruck FC's Amílton do Nascimento got a free kick in the 11th minute. Dário Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes E.C Foz Do Iguaçu got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Paiva. Beto Paulista took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dário Cavalcante. Dário Cavalcante dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With his leg Guto Toscano managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's Dedé Meira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thunderstruck FC's Guto Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Mattos in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Leonardo Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's Vitinho Travassos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Thunderstruck FC. Dedé Meira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Guto Toscano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dário Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Délio Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thunderstruck FC and the E.C Foz Do Iguaçu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jean Barros hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Beto Paulista scored 1-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dário Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's Dário Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Paulista in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto Figueiredo in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Cavalcante saved E.C Foz Do Iguaçu from getting behind. Guto Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Celsinho Mattos made the kick off in the second half. Cléber do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Alessandro Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thunderstruck FC's Guto Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Thunderstruck FC's Bebeto Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dário Cavalcante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's Dário Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save E.C Foz Do Iguaçu from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, E.C Foz Do Iguaçu's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Paulista came free, but Dário Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The E.C Foz Do Iguaçu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Thunderstruck FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Thunderstruck FC.
