In the 7th minute, Duda Jacinto made a precise shot to the right of João Carlos Carvalho. Old Glory's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tiago Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josué Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 15 minutes, Júlio Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BENTO F.C and the Old Glory players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Old Glory booed when BENTO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Carlos Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zé Pedro Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BENTO F.C's protests and gave Zé Pedro Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes BENTO F.C got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Nóbrega. Thanks to some nice moves Gilmar de Medeiros could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Tiago Bastos however easily saved by the left post. In the 34th minute, Zé Pedro Nóbrega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Joélson Arósio with Alexsandro Meireles as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 58 minutes of play, Old Glory's Gilmar de Medeiros made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Bastos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Telmo Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BENTO F.C's Daniel Domingues got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute Alexsandro Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Pedro Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar de Medeiros in the 77th minute of the match. João Carlos Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duda Jacinto in the 88th minute of play forced Old Glory's goalkeeper João Carlos Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuca Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Carvalho having to interfere. BENTO F.C were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
