Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dráusio Pernambucano got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Amaral came free, but Valdomiro Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdomiro Seco came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Volta Redonda F. Clube's Wanderson Rosa. But to his dismay, Wanderson Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wanderson Rosa in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Seco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wanderson Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Seco having to interfere. When Volta Redonda F. Clube's Wanderson Rosa in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santiago FC's goalie prevented a goal. Valdomiro Seco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldinho Dracena went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Alex Amaral put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Valdomiro Seco. Valdomiro Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Rosa in the 36th minute of play. Clube's Wanderson Rosa made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdomiro Seco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Alex Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Valdomiro Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wanderson Rosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Amaral in the 57th minute of play forced Santiago FC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wanderson Rosa struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Valdomiro Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volta Redonda F. Clube. In the 61st minute of the game Aírton Goiano made a throw-in which Dráusio Pernambucano played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Rosa in the 64th minute of play forced Santiago FC's goalkeeper Valdomiro Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Rosa got free with Valdomiro Seco in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Wanderson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wanderson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Valdomiro Seco made a huge save. After 77 played minutes Volta Redonda F. Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Vidal. 81 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Carioca came free, but Valdomiro Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Volta Redonda F. Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alex Amaral hit a great ball. Volta Redonda F. Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
