The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ernesto Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Ekberg in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Queiroz in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanni Arruda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovanni Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Salles in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Júlio Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovanni Arruda. FIEL TUPÃ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Geovanni Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sydney Queiroz went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Júnior Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, NEGRITUDE FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cacá Carioca. 31 minutes into the match, FIEL TUPÃ's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Queiroz came free, but Geovanni Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Göran Ekberg made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Vargas. NEGRITUDE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. 35 minutes into the match, Göran Ekberg notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas. Ernesto Vargas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. NEGRITUDE FC's Sydney Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of FIEL TUPÃ booed when NEGRITUDE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, César Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th match minute, NEGRITUDE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney Queiroz to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Salles to make the kick off. Filipe Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Salles got free with Geovanni Arruda in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Ekberg in the 60th minute of play. Inácio Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Leonardo Arruda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Vargas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ernesto Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Ekberg in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to FIEL TUPÃ getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rafinha Marques hit a great ball. Geovanni Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Júnior Pereira in the 73rd minute. NEGRITUDE FC's Ernesto Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Carioca in the 76th minute of play. Geovanni Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Salles in the 80th minute of play. A hard shot 93 in the game by Sydney Queiroz from a close distance when the talented Geovanni Arruda managed to make a qualified save. FIEL TUPÃ's players were relieved. 94 minutes into the match, FIEL TUPÃ's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Salles came free, but Geovanni Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
