As de Ouro's Ionel Dănciulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionel Dănciulescu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Vides saved Metegelo de Piracicaba FC from getting behind. Ionel Dănciulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cláudio Vides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ionel Dănciulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafet Işıldar scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cláudio Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Metegelo de Piracicaba FC were furious when Hílton Xavier was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
