Donato Penha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Slavomil Kalný when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Donato Penha put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Slavomil Kalný. In the 21st minute of the match, Donato Penha tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Slavomil Kalný saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Slavomil Kalný prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Penha in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Slavomil Kalný saved Tenha Dó Dó Dó from getting behind. With a little luck, Vasco Ipameri's Rogério Ceni got control of the ball when Vivaldo Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97th minute, Tenha Dó Dó Dó's Vivaldo Moreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Vasco Ipameri lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
