After 6 minutes SPORT PRIMUS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Eduardo de Sousa who took care of the corner kick. After 7 minutes, Igor Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laranja Mecânica F. C. and the SPORT PRIMUS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 8 minutes into the match, Leonard Majewski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s Edgard Travassos. Edgard Travassos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgard Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Majewski in the 13th minute of play. When Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s Virgílio Viana in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SPORT PRIMUS FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica F. C. booed when SPORT PRIMUS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilya Duryagin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Virgílio Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paredes Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laranja Mecânica F. C. were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after SPORT PRIMUS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Eduardo de Sousa took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Majewski in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Travassos saved Laranja Mecânica F. C. from getting behind. If Leonard Majewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Cesaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Travassos having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Ovidio Cesaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Viana during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ovidio Cesaro scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgard Travassos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Laranja Mecânica F. C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SPORT PRIMUS FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Majewski made a kick off. A hard shot 56 in the game by Ovidio Cesaro from a close distance when the talented Edgard Travassos managed to make a qualified save. Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s players were relieved. Ovidio Cesaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Edgard Travassos made a huge save. If Ovidio Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Márcio Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SPORT PRIMUS FC booed when Laranja Mecânica F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilya Duryagin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Viana in the 72nd minute of play forced SPORT PRIMUS FC's goalkeeper Paredes Muro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paredes Muro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Edgard Travassos was a little too slow when Denílson Paraibano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-3. Arnaldo Souza hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Leonard Majewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 minutes of play, Laranja Mecânica F. C.'s Kléberson Cabral made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paredes Muro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgard Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Cesaro in the 96th minute. The Laranja Mecânica F. C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SPORT PRIMUS FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
