The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Lucas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gruna booed when Marcílio Dias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júnior Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferruccio Mozzoni made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Cristian Félix sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Marcílio Dias's Ferruccio Mozzoni got control of the ball when Cristian Félix tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lúcio Figueiredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

Ronaldão Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beto Vides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldão Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Álvaro Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Marcílio Dias's 何树骋 in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gruna's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that 何树骋's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beto Vides was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Beto Vides stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 何树骋's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 何树骋 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Beto Vides came out and tried to block the shot, but 何树骋 slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 90th minute. The Marcílio Dias players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
