Benê Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes of play, New Colorado's Germano Vargas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benê Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benê Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diguinho Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Guga Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Colorado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guga Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of New Colorado booed when Delta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benê Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, New Colorado's Vito Pirani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benê Aguiar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 22 minutes, Vito Pirani made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Delta FC's Benê Aguiar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benê Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delta FC's Benê Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Vargas in the 27th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Germano Vargas notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Delta FC's Benê Aguiar. Benê Aguiar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Pirani in the 42nd minute of play forced Delta FC's goalkeeper Benê Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Delta FC defense, Vito Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benê Aguiar. The Delta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benê Aguiar should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Germano Vargas to make the kick off. Germano Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vito Pirani kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 54thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Delta FC's keeper Benê Aguiar was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Vito Pirani in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benê Aguiar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 56 minutes into the game, Germano Vargas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benê Aguiar. Germano Vargas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. 62 minutes into the match, New Colorado's Germano Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benê Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Delta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri Dantas to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Vito Pirani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Colorado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. The goalkeeper, Benê Aguiar, was totally fooled by New Colorado's Diguinho Saldanha, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The New Colorado fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when New Colorado's Vito Pirani looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benê Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Germano Vargas's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Benê Aguiar was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Germano Vargas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Germano Vargas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-13. In the 86th minute, New Colorado's Germano Vargas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benê Aguiar. Benê Aguiar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-14. Vito Piranis short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Benê Aguiar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 99 minutes of play, New Colorado's Germano Vargas made it 0-16 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benê Aguiar was left in no man's land by his defense there!
