Júnior Coelho scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benê Aguiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Delta FC's Benê Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Coelho in the 15th minute of play. Christiano Silva's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Benê Aguiar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson Lima in the 20th minute of play forced Delta FC's goalkeeper Benê Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê Aguiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christiano Silva in the 24th minute. Leopoldo de Brito hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Benê Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Agnaldo de Andrade sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Cercado's Júnior Coelho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Benê Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delfim Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benê Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Coelho in the 58th minute of play. Delta FC's Benê Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Lima in the 59th minute of play. Benê Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Lima in the 65th minute of the match. Geovânio Simões's late challenge caught a Cercado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovânio Simões helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Geovânio Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benê Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Válbson de Queiroz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Válbson de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Delta FC booed when Cercado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo de Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Delfim Vinhas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Delta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Vinhas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 played minutes Delta FC got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Dantas. 3-0 became the score in the 95th minute when Júnior Coelho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Cercado players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
