The corner ended in Edson Fonseca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sexta Rua FC's Piboon Kotruchin did a great save. In the 13th minute Tiburcio Iago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piboon Kotruchin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiburcio Iago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Piboon Kotruchin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Musa Yabgu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Sexta Rua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiz Bedi to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Tiburcio Iago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sexta Rua FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Lúcio Simões made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Musa Yabgu sent off a good shot on target. Tiburcio Iago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramiz Bedi charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiz Bedi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Ramiz Bedi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Musa Yabgu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fe De stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Schalke 04's Lúcio Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musa Yabgu in the 78th minute of play. Lúcio Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Musa Yabgu in the 80th minute of the match. Gheorghe Baldu got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
