Caboto SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jarbas Favoretto 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Túlio Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Jarbas Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aritza Vicuña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match Guirapa SC got a corner. Caboto SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarbas Favoretto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Caboto SS's Aritza Vicuña couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Jarbas Favoretto shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 29th minute, 2-0. Basílio Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Jarbas Favoretto fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guirapa SC's protests and gave Jarbas Favoretto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Guirapa SC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarbas Favoretto to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Murilo Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caboto SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
