The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adhemar Prado didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 3rd minute. Curinhaem's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Adhemar Prado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emerson Severo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Emerson Dracena's late challenge caught a Malvadeza Mode ON's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. When Adhemar Prado came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Curinhaem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Prado couldn't finish the play. Adhemar Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes, Vânderson Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malvadeza Mode ON and the Curinhaem players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Duarte Proença made the kick off in the second half. Vânderson Munhoz might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseu Custódio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vânderson Munhoz ran back to his position shaking his head. Eliseu Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Munhoz in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Curinhaem's Duarte Proença got a free kick in the 91st minute. Aníbal Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eliseu Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aníbal Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
