Acad Fanática por Futebol's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Tejerina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléber Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cléber Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Brasil in the 14th minute of play. Fred Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelinho Lago kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Luiz Sergipano. That made the score 1-1 in the 19 minute of play. Taciua's Cléber Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Sá in the 27th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Fred Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taciua and the Acad Fanática por Futebol players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taciua getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fred Trancoso hit a great ball. Bernardo Sá took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cléber Miranda. Cléber Miranda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 45 minutes into the match, Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Pimenta.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelinho Lago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Acad Fanática por Futebol's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Lago came free, but Pedro Luiz Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléber Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Sá in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Dadá Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Taciua getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nuno Sergipano hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Dadá Alves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cléber Miranda. Dadá Alves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Pedro Luiz Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pimenta in the 69th minute of play. Cléber Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Alves in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Trancoso in the 74th minute of play forced Acad Fanática por Futebol's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Cléber Miranda made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Dadá Alves notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Taciua's Cléber Miranda. Cléber Miranda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cléber Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 minutes, Lino Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acad Fanática por Futebol and the Taciua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Acad Fanática por Futebol's Lino Fontes got a free kick in the 90th minute. When the match was over Acad Fanática por Futebol could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Taciua throughout the match.
