In the 21st minute Elvis Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Morera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Milosz Kordalewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Concórdia's Isidro Morera got control of the ball when Osmar Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Internacional's Odoy Pradhana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Håland in the 29th minute of play. The Internacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Odoy Pradhana should have stopped the shot. In the 45th match minute, Internacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Souto to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Guilherme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Morera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Monteiro to make the kick off. The Internacional supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Concórdia's performance. The match ended with a win for Concórdia.
