Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jaime Pombal made a great header on AF CERRADO's corner, it was just that Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 17th minute of play forced Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Toninho Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Cambridge Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Bueno came free, but Sérgio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 37th minute of play. Arlindo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Rodrigues in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 39th minute of play forced Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Toninho Moreira got a free kick in the 44th minute.

If Zé Carlos Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Paulista in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 68th minute Antônio Carlos Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilian Şneapotă's late challenge caught a AF CERRADO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilian Şneapotă helped the player get up and apologised. AF CERRADO made a substitution. Dennis Contaldi replaced Róbson Bittencourt. Emilian Şneapotă kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Cambridge Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Damião came free, but Sérgio Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Thiago Damião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Trevisan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Sérgio Trevisan came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by AF CERRADO's Murilo Lucas. But to his dismay, Murilo Lucas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Damião in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, AF CERRADO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jailson Loyola fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Pedro Lopez got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Lucas in the 96th minute of play forced Cambridge Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Sérgio Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Murilo Lucas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Sérgio Trevisan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. AF CERRADO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
