Valdir Ortiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauan Linhares's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Jaraguá FC's Valdir Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã de Carvalho in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute German Berto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Martín Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaraguá FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Adriano in the 29th minute of play forced Novorizontino - DMZ's goalkeeper Martín Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cauan Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Martín Silva successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 43 minutes, Luiz Adriano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaraguá FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Adriano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kauã de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Ortiz having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Adriano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Jaraguá FC got a freekick which was hit by Délio Valladares. The supporters of Jaraguá FC booed when Novorizontino - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Novorizontino - DMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Marco Ordono hit a great ball. Valdir Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cauan Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Jaraguá FC's Valdir Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Jaraguá FC from getting a goal against them. German Berto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Valdir Ortiz made a huge save.
