Laércio Eger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laércio Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Kisielka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pecém's Laércio Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos Veloso in the 21st minute of play. Stig-Arne Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Eger having to interfere. Edward Kisielka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laércio Eger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Clube Atlético Impávido's attentive Bai Lin Ting managed to snatch the ball when Jerônimo Breckenfeld made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the game, Clube Atlético Impávido's Stig-Arne Ekström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laércio Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Antônio Carlos Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Clube Atlético Impávido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Carlos Veloso couldn't finish the play. Laércio Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Arne Ekström in the 38th minute of play. Richard Boschker scored 0-4 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laércio Eger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd minute Edward Kisielka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig-Arne Ekström took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laércio Eger. Laércio Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5.

Faustão Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laércio Eger having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Fellipe Lira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Laércio Eger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edward Kisielka showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 58 minute of play. After 63 minutes, Stig-Arne Ekström made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Boschker came free, but Laércio Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laércio Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Arne Ekström in the 82nd minute. If Richard Boschker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute.
