With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvard Carlsson in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Medeiros saved Montevideo from getting behind. If Olavo Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Goblins F.C.'s Shen Yi Yuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Matorin in the 18th minute of play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 30th minute, but Ronaldo Medeiros got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Montevideo hanging dry this time. In the 32nd minute Goblins F.C. were awarded a corner. Augusto Stephen went to the cornerflag to take it. Goblins F.C.'s Augusto Stephen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Shen Yi Yuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Antequera in the 37th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Augusto Stephen made the kick off in the second half. Shen Yi Yuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bray McJon in the 61st minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Montevideo's Bray McJon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shen Yi Yuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Christian Passos's late challenge caught a Goblins F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Passos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Christian Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Vangel Hrulev came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes Montevideo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Augusto Stephen who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Goblins F.C.'s corner Augusto Stephen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ronaldo Medeiros quite easily take care of the ball. Bray McJon scored 0-3 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shen Yi Yuan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Montevideo's Fernandão Recife quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abelardo Pitta, made in the 81st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Bray McJon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo's supporters rose to their feet, but Bray McJon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shen Yi Yuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 minutes, Edvard Carlsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goblins F.C. and the Montevideo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ronaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vangel Hrulev, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
