But to his dismay, Pedro Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Pedro Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tony Chaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute Cristóvão Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerome Rohrer in the 34th minute of the match. Fala Sério FC were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after SE Palestra Itália's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kauan Santos took the corner. Cristóvão Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Marques having to interfere. Benê Aguiar made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kauan Santos immediately put the ball in play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Azevedo made a kick off. Pedro Moraes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Tony Chaves 52 minutes into the match. With a little luck, SE Palestra Itália's Tony Chaves got control of the ball when Kauan Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute André Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tony Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonsinho Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
