Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Fala Sério FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Matadores FC's zone, Kauan Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aloísio Abreu came out of the goal and Kauan Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Régis de Amorim came free, but Aloísio Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Azevedo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Pernambucano in the 83rd minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
