In the 7th minute, Clemente Pires had to leave the field with a concussion. Bernard Letourneau's late challenge caught a PIRATAS TFP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard Letourneau helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Bernard Letourneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard Letourneau got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Igor Tinoco. When Jacinto de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the PIRATAS TFP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto de Lara couldn't finish the play. TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in PIRATAS TFP's zone, Ernani Souto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Borges came out of the goal and Ernani Souto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, PIRATAS TFP's Rodolfo Salgado threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jacinto de Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rodolfo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute Jacinto de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, PIRATAS TFP's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Vale came free, but Antônio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th match minute, PIRATAS TFP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eche Centrih to maneuver through the defense. Bernard Letourneau was shown his second yellow card after 48 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto de Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Vale to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto de Lara in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Salgado saved TAQUARI FC from getting behind. 59 minutes into the game, PIRATAS TFP's Jacinto de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacinto de Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto de Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto de Lara in the 88th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kabiru Rotimi might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antônio Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kabiru Rotimi ran back to his position shaking his head. TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale got his second yellow card of the match in the 99th minute. The referee ordered Wilton Vale off the ground. Chupan Doar kicked well hit freekick during the 100th minute of the match. Tiro Peralta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 101st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PIRATAS TFP had played much better football throughout.
