Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Cavalera in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Igor Cavalera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Cavalera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes of play, Ogro F.C.'s Jerônimo Vergílio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodriguinho Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alysson Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Skoog in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute ATHLETICO PRaiano were awarded a corner. Betão Marquez went to the cornerflag to take it. Jerônimo Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rodriguinho Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Alysson Rezende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deilmison van Basten's shot from short distance in the 39th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Deilmison van Basten was the one to do the kick off. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodriguinho Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Cavalera in the 71st minute. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Vergílio in the 72nd minute of the match.
