The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Amado Honesto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSyD Estrella de Boedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gauchos de Boedo the free kick. In the 9th match minute, CSyD Estrella de Boedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Honesto to maneuver through the defense. Gogo Uxio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Rencio having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Gauchos de Boedo got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Laurendi. 15 minutes into the match, CSyD Estrella de Boedo's goal looked a bit too open when Gogo Uxio came free, but Mariano Rencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Rencio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Emeterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Aaron Rumaldo made a great header on Gauchos de Boedo's corner, it was just that CSyD Estrella de Boedo's Mariano Rencio managed to reach the ball for a save. Gauchos de Boedo's Nereo Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Oalo in the 19th minute of play. Gogo Uxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Silvio Laurendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gauchos de Boedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Laurendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Gogo Uxio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gogo Uxio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Rencio was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 30th minute Gogo Uxio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, CSyD Estrella de Boedo's Fausto Soter got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Gogo Uxio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Rencio was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Mariano Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Uxio in the 35th minute of play. Gauchos de Boedo's Silvio Laurendi got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Oinatz got free with Nereo Bernal in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

55 minutes into the game, Gauchos de Boedo's Gogo Uxio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Rencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gogo Uxio struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Mariano Rencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gauchos de Boedo. After 63 minutes, Horacio Oalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSyD Estrella de Boedo and the Gauchos de Boedo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Horacio Oalo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A hard shot 66 in the game by Gogo Uxio from a close distance when the talented Mariano Rencio managed to make a qualified save. CSyD Estrella de Boedo's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Gauchos de Boedo's Lisandro Diaz got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gauchos de Boedo's zone, Juan Oinatz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Bernal came out of the goal and Juan Oinatz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Silvio Laurendi came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Gauchos de Boedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Laurendi couldn't finish the play. Gogo Uxio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Rencio having to interfere. The referee ignored CSyD Estrella de Boedo's protests and gave Edelmiro Urdaspal a yellow card for diving instead. 89 minutes into the game, one of CSyD Estrella de Boedo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aaron Rumaldo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The Gauchos de Boedo fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Gauchos de Boedo's Aaron Rumaldo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gauchos de Boedo's Gregorio Ayala got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gauchos de Boedo played a much better game than CSyD Estrella de Boedo and deserved their victory. The CSyD Estrella de Boedo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
