With a little luck, El Porvenir Entre Rios's Eriberto Neron got control of the ball when Filiberto Gabon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulises Errolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Otsoko in the 29th minute of the match. Luciano Demario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Errolan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Otsoko in the 33rd minute of play forced Basavilbaso's goalkeeper Ulises Errolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Basavilbaso getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Miguel Ladio hit a great ball. Ulises Errolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Iratze in the 38th minute of play. Fabian Romildo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Serafin Iratze's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Errolan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Basavilbaso got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Romildo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

51 minutes into the match, El Porvenir Entre Rios's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Gabon came free, but Eriberto Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in El Porvenir Entre Rios's zone, Miguel Ladio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Neron came out of the goal and Miguel Ladio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of El Porvenir Entre Rios booed when Basavilbaso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Paez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Luciano Demario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulises Errolan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 73rd minute, Filiberto Gabon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Constantino Domiku charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
