After 8 minutes, Donato Guillem mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suruipiana and the Despeñaderos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donato Guillem kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Blas Eguerdi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Igon. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Donato Guillem scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Arlo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Donato Guillem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Suruipiana's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Guillem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Arlo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Gimenez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Gimenez in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nenad Lokas in the 45th minute of play forced Despeñaderos's goalkeeper Lorenzo Arlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Igon made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Blas Eguerdi sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Gimenez to make the kick off. Donato Guillem who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Lorenzo Arlo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Gimenez in the 58th minute of play forced Suruipiana's goalkeeper Gustavo Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lorenzo Arlo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Gutierrez in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Suruipiana getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gora Atienza hit a great ball. Gustavo Igon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Gimenez's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When Blas Eguerdi came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Despeñaderos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blas Eguerdi couldn't finish the play. Gilberto Gorosti lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Despeñaderos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Suruipiana:s goal. In the 76th minute Victorio Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Arlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Guillem's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Lorenzo Arlo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Despeñaderos's Lorenzo Arlo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Gutierrez in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Inguma in the 90th minute of play forced Suruipiana's goalkeeper Gustavo Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Donato Guillem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Suruipiana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Eguerdi in the 97th minute of play forced Suruipiana's goalkeeper Gustavo Igon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Suruipiana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
