With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Jorrin in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Ortle saved Real Santa Cruz from getting behind. 1-1 became the score in the 23rd minute when Elias Dolfo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Jorrin in the 26th minute of play forced Real Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Freddy Ortle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Real Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Danilo Rodas hit a great ball. Samuel Jorrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Freddy Ortle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Jorrin struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Freddy Ortle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Santa Fe FC. Felix Osoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Ortle having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Osoro made a kick off. Lucio Cordarrol charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucio Cordarrol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Real Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Lucio Cordarrol hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético Santa Fe FC's Paulo Paulin got a free kick in the 56th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Florentino Rozarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Santa Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Rozarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Reno hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Real Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Rodas. In the 63rdth minute of the game Felix Osoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Santa Cruz's Freddy Ortle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Florentino Rozarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Abilio having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Samuel Jorrin made a precise shot to the right of Freddy Ortle. Real Santa Cruz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Real Santa Cruz's zone, Samuel Jorrin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Ortle came out of the goal and Samuel Jorrin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Osoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Samuel Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Real Santa Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Ortle should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Atlético Santa Fe FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Real Santa Cruz.
