Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Ibon ran back to his position shaking his head. Melquiades Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Ibon, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Talleres de Avellaneda's Jairo Ibon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Calixto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Aureliano Orkatz's late challenge caught a Talleres de Avellaneda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Orkatz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Racedo AFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aureliano Orkatz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Racedo AFC's zone, Jairo Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Calixto came out of the goal and Jairo Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lázaro Peruxu struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Melquiades Calixto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres de Avellaneda. Melquiades Calixto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Ibon in the 20th minute of play. After 24 played minutes Racedo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Mannuel. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jairo Ibon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres de Avellaneda's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Ibon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Calixto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Jairo Ibon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Calixto. Racedo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Ibon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Vicente Mannuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Baldomiro Blasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Calixto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Ibon, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justo Gilabert to make the kick off. Baldomiro Blasi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Orkatz in the 56th minute of play forced Talleres de Avellaneda's goalkeeper Baldomiro Blasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Jairo Ibon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Calixto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Talleres de Avellaneda were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Racedo AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hieronim Ziombkowski took the corner. After 61st play minutes Jairo Ibon shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Melquiades Calixto and just under the crossbar into goal. Jairo Ibon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melquiades Calixto having to make a save. Jairo Ibon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Melquiades Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Ibon had several of the Racedo AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Melquiades Calixto as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Talleres de Avellaneda's Diego Piorno got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jaime Venceslao kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Aureliano Orkatz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomiro Blasi. Talleres de Avellaneda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aureliano Orkatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Ibon in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Calixto saved Racedo AFC from getting behind. Talleres de Avellaneda played a much better game than Racedo AFC and deserved their victory. The Racedo AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
