Marcos Handi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herminio Navarro in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute of the match, Elias Juvenal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Handi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fabian Sandaili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Travassos in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, Cochequi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Navarro to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Bernabe Olivar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Christian Rubio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Marcos Handi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the match, Xiao Tejerina notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cochequi AFC's Fabian Sandaili. Fabian Sandaili was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Cochequi AFC booed when Sarmiento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Cordearo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Anibal Atarrabi in the 38th minute really tested Marcos Handi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 43rd minute, Xiao Tejerina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Sandaili was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 47 played minutes Sarmiento FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Eriksson. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Xiao Tejerina in the 53rd minute of play forced Cochequi AFC's goalkeeper Fabian Sandaili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Sarmiento FC's Fabian Sandaili threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Xiao Tejerina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Xiao Tejerina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Sandaili having to interfere. Xiao Tejerina took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Sandaili. Fabian Sandaili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Juvenal in the 67th minute of play forced Sarmiento FC's goalkeeper Marcos Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Herminio Navarro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Handi. Sarmiento FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herminio Navarro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento FC's Benigno Federigo got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Christian Rubio charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Rubio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sarmiento FC booed when Cochequi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Xiao Tejerina fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabian Sandaili, passed just outside the right post. 82 minutes into the match, Sarmiento FC's Benigno Federigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Sandaili narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Xiao Tejerina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Sadurni in the 85th minute of play forced Sarmiento FC's goalkeeper Marcos Handi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Handi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Juvenal, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Sarmiento FC's Marcos Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Navarro in the 89th minute of play. Marcos Handi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Juvenal in the 90th minute of the match. Christian Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marcos Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarmiento FC played a much better game than Cochequi AFC and deserved their victory. The Cochequi AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
