Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xiao Tejerina started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute Bruninho Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Acosta hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Bruninho Travassos might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Marino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruninho Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. Simon Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marcos Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento FC's Bernabe Olivar got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xiao Tejerina in the 21st minute of play forced Alumni V.M's goalkeeper Oscar Marino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Benigno Federigo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Alumni V.M defense, Bruninho Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Marino. The Alumni V.M fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Marino should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Acosta was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Marino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xiao Tejerina in the 56th minute of play. Simon Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Travassos struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Oscar Marino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmiento FC. Benigno Federigo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Xiao Tejerina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Oscar Marino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Alumni V.M getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Norberto Ostargi hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Oscar Marino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alumni V.M's attentive Alvaro Baladi managed to snatch the ball when Esteban Marquez made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. In the 88th minute Xiao Tejerina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Alumni V.M's goal looked a bit too open when Xiao Tejerina came free, but Oscar Marino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xiao Tejerina was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Sarmiento FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
