The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Eduardo Olo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnoldo Platon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Severino Gerazan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Arnoldo Platon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Platon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Gerazan, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 14th minute, Victorio Ostadar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnoldo Platon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Olo in the 20th minute of play. If Victorio Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Severino Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Platon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Severino Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apeleg AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Gerazan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldo Platon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusebio Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerardo Elija charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerardo Elija the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Apeleg AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gerardo Elija hit a great ball. Reynaldo Loco was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gogo Ubarna. When Elvio Derwin fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montserrat AFC's protests and gave Elvio Derwin a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Montserrat AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Apeleg AFC:s goal. Marcelo Irrintzi placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Gerazan in the 45th minute of play forced Montserrat AFC's goalkeeper Arnoldo Platon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorio Ostadar to make the kick off. In the 66th minute, Lisandro Guillem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Marcelo Irrintzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Montserrat AFC's Arnoldo Platon got control of the ball when Eduardo Olo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnoldo Platon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Gerazan in the 95th minute of the match. 99 minutes into the match, Severino Gerazan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnoldo Platon. Montserrat AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Gerazan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When the match was over Apeleg AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montserrat AFC throughout the match.
